UAMCC Underway
The UAMCC, a not-for-profit 501c-6 organization (trade group) built by a group of contractors to serve contractors in the pressure washing industry officially opened for membership at the 2008 Northeast Pressure Washing Seminar. The event, hosted and organized by Mathew Johnson, will long be remembered as “where it all started”.
Carlos Gonzalez, Ken Fenner, Jeff LeCours, and Rob Huffman represented the UAMCC Transition Team in person at the event and launch. They enjoyed networking with other contractors and seeing the rush to join after the announcement. It was a gratifying day for the whole transition team, and for the charter members as well.
In the interest of full disclosure, the UAMCC brings you this blog as part of its mission to inform, educate, and provide a forum for industry events, news, and issues. The Pressure Washing News welcomes all members of the industry to participate in the conversation, but we especially wish to welcome the newly minted UAMCC members. They have taken a great leap of faith, and made a wise investment in their own futures, and the future of the industry.
Well done, contractors! Thank you for having the vision to take the next step.
Contractors present at the opening report the high energy was contagious, and that the Transition Team members were nearly swamped in the rush to join.
The team had set a goal of seven new members, but had hoped to gain as many as ten. In the end, 21 new members signed up by the end of Sunday. We were overwhelmed by the strong support the industry has shown for its new organization.
Since the opening, we have added many new members, and membership grows daily. There are many fine advantages to joining, and the benefits are listed in detail at UAMCC Pressure Washing Association website
