UAMCC Charter Membership Sale Was Clearly A Blowout!

Was it crazier than the Black Friday Sale at Macy’s the day after thanksgiving? It speaks for itself and the message was clear! The UAMCC opened up membership to 8 additional Charter Member candidates on February 14th giving contractors an opportunity to become part of history. The rules were simple; be quick with the PayPal button, as the Charter Memberships were offered to any contractor on a first come, first served basis at high noon on that Saturday.

Carlos Gonzales, the transition team leader, indicated in the pre-sale communication that he would announce the 10 Charter Members, Saturday or Sunday evening, after the memberships were sold. It shocked the industry and BBS community when at 12:04, four minutes into the sale, that all of the charter membership spots were taken. Two Charter Memberships were filled prior to the sale; they were awarded to contractors through a prior contest.
